Relaxation Massage
Unlike therapeutic massage that treats ongoing muscle and soft tissue injuries, relaxation massage is about calming and relaxing the mind and body so that it can heal itself. Our clients enjoy a head to toe massage that relaxes all the major muscle groups and areas that “hold stress” such as the shoulders, back, scalp and upper chest.
Waxing
We offer soft (warm) wax hair removal for women and men (we don’t do Brazilian waxes on our male clients). Waxing is a fast and easy way to remove unwanted hair and leave the skin soft and oh-so-smooth. From eyebrows to toe hair, there is no area that our experienced waxer can’t reach! While waxing is not a form of permanent hair reduction, the hair will thin and get finer over time.
Customized Facial
We take time to take detailed notes about how our clients take care of their skin and themselves generally, followed by a thorough skin analysis and an in-depth conversation with the client about their skin goals. Once we have a good understanding of what is needed, we then select products and treatments to compliment the client’s needs and requirements. We suggest changes to diet and skin care that will get our clients closer to their skin goals.
Microdermabrasion
A microdermabrasion treatment uses abrasive material and a vacuum to safely and effectively remove the upper dead skin layer of skin (Stratum Corneum). At Azure Skin Care Spa + Medical we use the Pristine Microdermabrasion System to treat our clients. The system uses diamond tips to gently scrape the dead skin which is then whisked away by the vacuum. The system is fully adjustable to provide the perfect settings for each client. After the exfoliation, an appropriate serum and a mask are applied to soothe and replenish the new soft, smooth skin.
Customized Peel
A series of light chemical peels, is a great way to treat acne, dry aging skin, uneven pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and poor hydration. At Azure Skin Care Spa + Medical we take a comprehensive look at our client’s skin, discuss the issues and select the appropriate peel to help them. Our peels have no down-time and all our clients have to take care of is their fresh, radiant skin.
Laser Hair Removal
Azure Skin Care Spa + Medical uses the LightSheer laser by Lumenis for our laser hair reduction treatments – it has been an industry standard for many years. This laser targets the melanin in newly awakened hair follicles. The heat created in the follicle by this process, disables the follicle and it will no longer be able to produce a hair. A treatment is quick and easy (though some spots are a little ouchy). Most of our clients require 6 – 10 treatments to see a 95% reduction in their hair growth in the treatment area (95% reduction looks like no hair in that area). Our laser technicians are well-trained and very experienced. We assess your hair and skin before ever touching you with a laser, so that we can confidently treat many different skin and hair types. Unfortunately there is no permanent laser hair reduction possible for blonde, grey or white hair, as those colours don’t have enough melanin for laser-targeting. Pricing is subject to additional charge based on consultation.
