Retinoid cream has the ability to unclog pores, which better prepares the skin for any acne skin treatments being applied to actually get to where it needs to go. Whereas, retinoid pills treat your skins oil production and the bacteria that causes acne, as well as inflammation.
Retinoids for Wrinkles
Tretinoin is a prescription retinoid that helps to increase new collagen and stimulates new blood vessels. It also fades age spots and reducing precancerous skin spots called actinic keratosis. If you are going to undergo retinoid treatments, be sure to stay out of the sun and always wear a 30SPF sunscreen, don’t overuse the product (only use as prescribed), and ensure you are applying moisturizer regularly.
Pregnant women or those looking to become pregnant should not use retinoids.
